What kind of work does the Ennetsee joinery offer?
Our joinery is very diverse. We are proud to be able to offer almost all work from a single source when renovating a house. We even offer the coordination and scheduling of a renovation. Our core business includes general interior design with built-in cupboards, kitchens, doors, bathroom furniture, floor coverings, tables, acoustic solutions, curtain rails, insect protection and repairs for service orders. In addition to private individuals, our customers include architects, companies, real estate agencies, hospitals and public institutions.
As a carpenter's business, do you also train apprentices?
The future of our industry is in the hands of future generations. Since there are also fewer and fewer skilled workers in our profession, the carpentry companies must take action. Training new specialists is therefore important to us. In order to get young people excited about our job early on, we offer the opportunity to visit and get to know our company on a trial afternoon at the Cham schools. We also offer individual trial courses and are open to students who would like to do a summer job.
What is your company's position on sustainability?
As a carpenter, which depends on natural raw materials and materials, we in particular should pay attention to sustainable processing. This starts with advising the customer, where possible using regional products and types of wood. In the solid wood sector, we primarily offer wood types such as oak, walnut or ash from Central Switzerland. It is not always necessary to replace a piece of furniture immediately. That is why we are also committed to maintaining existing workpieces. A sustainable approach to our employees is also important to us. Many of our employees have been with us and associated with the carpentry shop for years. Some of them have even completed their apprenticeship with us.
What connects the Ennetsee joinery with the municipality of Cham?
Cham has always been home to well-known companies, such as the Cham Paper Group (founded in 1657) or Nestlé. These brought a real upswing to the rural village on Lake Zug. Even today, the municipality of Cham relies on the Chamer trade and makes it possible for companies like us to be able to run a craft business in such a central location. We highly appreciate the open and close cooperation with the municipal administration. So that local associations and institutions can maintain their activities more effectively, we support many of them with a financial subsidy. In addition, some of our employees were or are in the volunteer fire department in Cham. In an emergency, it goes without saying that they will then interrupt their work to ensure the safety of the people of Cham.
